Cut flower care instructions
Substitute all foliage and leaves that may be under the water in the vase otherwise they will rot. Leave the white roses packed in bunches and cut about one-half of an inch off of the bottom of the stems and then put them in water. When you use the pink roses, trim the stems again and carefully remove any discolored or loose outer petals.
Ensure the water supply at once upon arrival. Fill a bowl or sink with water, fully plunge the stem ends under the water and cut them at a 45 degree angle using a knife, scissors or pruner. Trimming your flower stems at a 45-degree angle is going to make sure that they have sufficient surface area to absorb water and that they don't stand directly on the bottom of the vase.
Wedding flowers
Modern wedding centerpieces are a creative way to form the theme of your wedding. The basic idea that works well for tall modern arrangements is to submerge the whole flower in water. This can be accomplished with tulips, roses and cymbidium orchids.
Our advice: stick with the professionals. Even if you're a plant expert, you are still going to be preoccupied in the days leading up to your big event and on the day of your wedding to handle the wedding flowers yourself.
Sympathy flowers
Sympathy flowers and Sympathy Baskets are traditionally sent to the mortuary, funeral home or church. Most funeral homes, churches and mortuaries have a wake, viewing or visitation where friends and associates come to pay their respects. Appropriate sympathy flower protocol to send sympathy roses or Sympathy plants to the funeral home, mortuary or church prior to the initial visitation hours.
Sympathy Sprays are Proper for delivery to the funeral home, mortuary or church. These wonderful specialty arrangements are displayed on an easel and make wonderful presentation.
