Combine flower food with moderately warm water, in the proportion suggested on the case. Even though the container has floral foam, you must keep the water level high to promote long lasting flowers.
Ensure vase water level every other day. Add water with flower food as needed. If the water becomes cloudy, replace the entire vase water with fresh preservative water. Change foliage that is going to sink under the water level in your vase. Almost every day cut again stems one-half of an inch. This is the reason for good water flow through the flower stem.
