Cut flower care instructions
Check the water supply straightaway upon arrival. Fill a bowl or sink with water, fully plunge the stem ends underwater and cut them at a 45-degree angle using a scissors, pocket pruner or knife. Trimming your flower stems at a 45° angle will make sure that they have adequate surface area to absorb water and that they don't sit directly on the bottom of the vase.
Verify vase water level almost every day. Add water with preservative as necessary. If the water becomes cloudy, change the entire vase water with room temperature flower food water. Change foliage that will fall under the water line in your vase. Every other day re-cut stem bottoms 1/2". This is the reason for good water flow through the flower stem.
